Water rates will be increased effective January 1, 2025. The new rates are:
$32.12 minimum charge (will now includes 1,000 gallons as opposed to 2,000 gallons)
$12.95 per each additional thousand gallons.
Sewer rates will remain unchanged:
Sewer Fee: $39.00 +$2.62 per 1,000 gallons
The Village Board did not take this decision lightly, however, the increase is needed in order to maintain our infrastructure for future generations. A large portion of this increase will be set aside for future maintenance that will keep our infrastructure safe and reliable. In addition to funding future maintenance, our water supplier (Village of Forsyth) has raised their per gallon rate several times. We have not passed those increases on in the past, but we can no longer hold off on doing so.
