Water Rate Increase
Water rates will be increased effective January 1, 2025. The new rates are:
$32.12 minimum charge (will now includes 1,000 gallons as opposed to 2,000 gallons)
$12.95 per each additional thousand gallons.
Sewer rates will remain unchanged:
Sewer Fee: $39.00 +$2.62 per 1,000 gallons
The Village Board did not take this decision lightly, however, the increase is needed in order to maintain our infrastructure for future generations. A large portion of this increase will be set aside for future maintenance that will keep our infrastructure safe and reliable. In addition to funding future maintenance, our water supplier (Village of Forsyth) has raised their per gallon rate several times. We have not passed those increases on in the past, but we can no longer hold off on doing so.

The petition circulation begins August 20, 2024. The first day to file the Candidate Petitions will be November 12, 2024.
Petitions will be accepted in person at these dates and times:
November 12th: 8 a.m.-9 a.m.
November 13-15th 9 a.m. – 10 a.m
The last day to file the Candidate Petition will be November 18, 2024. The office will be open 4-5 p.m.

CLEAN-UP GUIDELINES
GFL can NOT take the following items:
Tires
Paint
Batteries
Appliances (white goods)
Yard Waste
Hazardous Material (oil, gas, solvents)
E-Waste (computers, TV’s, electronics)
For curbside cleanup:
Volume limited to approximately 6 cubic yards of material.
Construction debris must be bundled, be less than 5-feet in length, and weigh less than 50-pounds per bundle.

Golf Cart Sticker Renewal
All golf cart stickers expire at the end of March. Golf carts are required to be inspected (including proof of insurace) at the time of renewal. Schedule your renewal appointment at this link:
